I’d like to dine at Ambiente. How do I go about visiting?
That’s great news …. and we’d love to see you! We are currently taking bookings only and won’t be able to accommodate walk-ins at this moment in time. So please do book your table to avoid disappointment!

What is the largest party size you can accommodate?
The largest party size we can accept at this moment in time is 6 people. These should be people within your household or from a household with whom you have created a ‘bubble’.
How close will I be sitting to other diners?
Our restaurants are now set up so that there is 1m plus between each table to allow for adequate social distancing.
How many people will be dining at any one time?
We have reduced the capacity of our restaurants to ensure that our staff and diners can safely social distance.
Will I have to pay a deposit to book?
If booking for a Friday or Saturday evening you will be asked to provide card details which will be stored securely by our card processing provider - Stripe. We will only charge your card in the case that you cancel your table with less than 48 hours or fail to arrive . In this case you will be charged £10 per person. You will receive an email from our payment processing provider once we have booked you in asking for your card details. You will then have 24 hours to input your card details & secure your table.
What about Track & Trace? Will everyone have to leave their details and how will this be stored?
As we are currently taking bookings only, we will already have the details of the party organiser. In the event of Covid-19 contact, we will contact the party organiser and ask them to contact all those who dined in that party to isolate for two weeks.
These details are kept securely on our booking system and we will not contact the party organiser except in the event of Covid-19 contact or if they have signed up to receive marketing from us.
Will my dining experience be different?
We have tried to ensure that our restaurants are as familiar as they were with some slight changes; we now have a reduced capacity in our restaurants to ensure social distancing between tables, you’ll be able to order your meal and pay through our online app, we won’t be accepting cash under any circumstances, we’ll be cleaning more rigorously and some of our staff will be wearing face masks but they’ll still be the same friendly and welcoming staff.
What additional Safety Measures have you installed?
To minimise risk between staff members, we have created working ‘bubbles’ with our staff members who will work the same shifts every week with the same members of staff. Our front of house and back of house staff all use separate entrances where possible to decrease contact between staff.
We have increased our cleaning procedures and frequency throughout our restaurants. The frequency of toilet checks and cleaning has been increased in line with usage and some of our toilets are now set up for single usage.
The cleaning regimes in our kitchens reflect the need to reduce the risk from Covid 19 as well as maintaining all normal expectations relevant to food hygiene.
Hand sanitising stations and signage have been put up at all entrances including toilets, staff rooms and other key locations.
Face masks will be worn by all staff members except our hosts & section managers. Face masks will also be worn by our delivery drivers where 2m distancing is not possible.
Cashless Business & reduced contact with items
Our menus and payment facilities are now all online as we have introduced an “Order & Pay at table” facility that dispenses with paper menus (at least for the time being) and card machines and paper bills, reducing the items that you come into contact with when you dine with us.
We now have clear floor markings throughout our restaurants which mark social distancing and, where possible, one way directional floor signs providing you with a clear route for entering, exiting & circulating our restaurants.
Seating capacity has been reduced by the removal of furniture & the table layout has been designed so that there will be one metre plus between individual parties and the circulation of staff & guests.
I’d like to minimise my contact with staff when dining with you. Is there another way to order other than face to face?
We have introduced an Order & Pay At Table facility that allows you to order & pay for your meal o your smartphone by logging onto a specific page on our website. for you to order and pay for your tapas. We will give you the details when you join us in the restaurant. We’ll provide you with your table number, which you’ll need to enter to order your tapas. Then just place your order through our app, pay for your order and our staff will then bring the tapas to your table when it’s ready.
If you’d like to order more, just head back into the app. It will have saved your table number and details so that you can easily order more food and drinks with minimal effort.
Can I pay with cash?
To minimise risk to customers and staff we will be operating as a cashless business.
I have some Covid-19 Symptoms, but I feel ok. Can I still dine with you?
If you have any Covid-19 symptoms at all then you must cancel your booking with us and stay at home, only leaving your house to get tested.
